Friday Fillins #42

Here are my friday fillins! If you'd like to do your own, find the link on my side-bar, or use this one.

1. Oh, I am so excited!
2. I'm usually indifferent to changes, big and little, but there were two changes I'd never, ever change. (Brother1 and Brother2's birth--I'd say Dear Sister too, but as far as I can remember she's always been there, so she really doesn't count. She wasn't really a change for me).
3. During this morning I wait in anticipation.
4. I'm finally going to see Inkheart; are you kidding me???
5. Right now I'd like to be in the theatre, watching Inkheart.
6. My MP3 is my favorite gadget--since dad stole my cellphone.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing Inkheart, tomorrow my plans include having fun and Sunday, I want to write on K.o.D.!

Have a great Weekend--I know I will!

It's All Perspective

(This post has to do with a poll I did recently: the question was "Is the Earth big, or small?" two said big, three said small)

Earth is huge. It's thousands of miles across, it's oceans are vast... But then you have to think of the sun. Compared to that, Earth doesn't seem quite so big. Now look at the galaxy (no, not me, just the galaxy in general)... the sun is a pinprick. Earth is a speck of dust. No, not even a speck of dust, Earth is a little molecule, floating around a pinprick. And now think about the Universe. Earth is no longer even a molecule. Earth is nothing.

Now think about a baseball. Compared to the universe, it's nothing. Heck, compared to the Earth (which we have already established as nothing) it's hardly anything at all. But think about bacteria. Think about how tiny they are. Think about how huge the ball must be to them. It's like a small planet of it's own to them. Now compare those to the Earth. Earth is a lot more than nothing.

And think about us. We're so small, and so big... How can that be? What is size?

Perspective.

1. Enough with the waiting (for over 3 YEARS, as a matter of fact)! I want to see Inkheart the movie!
2. Choosing one book out of many to read causes me to be conflicted.
3. I've been craving dates(no, not the romantic kind, the kind with pits--dried, and hopefully with the pits pitted to be specific).
4. Brother1 &2 make me laugh.
5. I wish I could go to see Inkheart next week--and guess what... I can!
6. Justice has been on my mind lately.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having Mommy read Hogfather out loud possibly, and playing Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis, tomorrow my plans include eating cold-cats (the vegan equivalent to hot-dogs), and Sunday, I want to hang out with the fam!

Have an absolutely grand weekend!!!

BOOKS!

Mommy, Dear Sister and I went to the Library (oh, how I love libraries!) recently and got about 48 books. I'm not kidding.
I'm really excited about reading them! So far I've devoured one--called Ever--, but that's just the start. I've also been reading Sherlock Holmes quite a bit recently, but I actually own that so 'Dear' Watson and that genius Sherlock will probably be out of play for a while. Maybe. Most likely. Actually... I'll just peek a bit...

Anyways, I'm so happy and uplifted about all these books that I had to post. I'll put up my reviews on A Book Worm's Journey (my book-blog) soon.

With my nose in a book,

A Pirate Without Treasure Is Like A Monkey Without A Spatula

I saw this video with the rest of my fam and thought it was really silly. The "Northern Star" bit was my favorite.

Blue is the most beautiful!

What People Thought of '08

You might have noticed the poll on the right about what you thought of '08. I let it sit for around a week after the new year, and here are the results:

1 person had a FABULOUS! year
0 people had a Great! year
2 people had a Good! year
0 people had a Bad. year
1 person had a Really bad. year (so sorry to whoever voted that, by the way)
and 0 people had a HORRIBLE! year

Just thought I'd post about it... It's especially fun to post on my blog now, with my new header!

Well, have a great day!

Blog Header Experimentation

So I've finally decided to add a header... I've been thinking about it for quite some time, but only just got around to doing it. Unfortunately, the image doesn't quite make it across the screen, so I'm gonna have to work on that a bit. Someday, it'll be perfect, but for now, expect many fluctuations.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know!!!

1. The world is wonderful.
2. Brother1, I was going to use that--! was the last thing I said.
3. I wonder if I'll play Sims at all today...
4. I'll still have my family at the end of all things.
5. There's something to be said for saying there's something to be said for something.
6. Right here, on the couch is where I want to be (though it would be really nice if I was watching "The 10th Kingdom" as well).
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching "The 10th Kingdom", tomorrow my plans include having fun, and Sunday, I want to do something fabulous!

Hope you have a great weekend!!!
