Baking Blueberry Muffins With Brother1

I made muffins for breakfast a couple of days ago and thought I'd post about it... and yes, I did do some of the work, Brother1 isn't responsible for all of it!

First I had to grind up some oat flour...

Mix that with some salt and baking powder...

I almost forgot about the blueberries, hehe.

Now the maple syrup, water, and pumpkin (a fitting fruit for fall, I thought)
Somebody's stealing a taste...
Now the long half-hour wait...

One word left: Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Friday Fillins #24

Here we go, Friday fill ins!

1.Halloween and fall leaves are some of the things I'm most looking forward to in October.
2. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in the old ages, but I always end up thanking the Lord I live now.
3. If you think you can or you can't, your right (that's my dad's favorite saying!), and that's why there is a saying, "never say never"!
4. When I'm down, I find it hard to hide it, and most people can guess it in a matter of seconds. The thing is, I'm very energetic, and when I'm down I'm not, so it's pretty noticeable.
5. In my home is where you'll find me most often.
6. A rainy day is good for Rainbows (such beautiful things...), and nice walks just after it (for the sweet, fresh air).
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to Daddy coming home, tomorrow my plans include nothing, really, and Sunday, I want to hang out!

I guess that's it! Happy weekend, and happy fall!

Fall and Halloween

Gosh, I can't believe summer is gone! Things are gonna be a lot different....

Still, I'm super excited about fall. When I step outside, I just feel that crisp, clean fall air... it's one of my favorite smells (pretty close to a spring day after it rains). I love that feeling you get, knowing that Halloween and Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years Day are coming... knowing that it's fall, and knowing it's all changing.

Another reason why I love fall is the leaves. Oh, my, gosh I love the leaves. They are red, and orange, and yellow, and purple all mixed in with a few renegade greens... It makes me love driving, just so I can see all of the pretty colors.

As for Halloween....

Being Vegan, I probably won't go Trick-Or-Treating, though I'll definitely dress up, and maybe we'll have some kind of party. One Problem: WHAT CAN I BE?!?!?!?!?

I've been a Vampire(twice), a Ghost/Zombie Thing, Medusa (from ancient Greek mythology, she has snakes for hair and if you look at her you turn to stone) and a Harpy.

Assuming I really don't want to be a witch (that's sooo cliche, I want creative!), and I want to be something new, what can I be?

Besides my Halloween dilemma, I have high hopes for this fall, it's definitely one of my favorite seasons. I'll be sad to see it go.

Friday Fillins #23

It's sort of on Friday.

1. There is no need to grieve for movie/tv series characters, but somehow we find ourselves doing so anyway.
2. Where in the heck did the book I was reading go?
3. Only a little bit of Kings of Darkness typing is all I managed to do... *sigh*.
4. Prospects for finishing K.o.D. are fairly high.
5. "Libraries make the world go 'round" is the message.
6. Simplicity and tranquility are wonderful things to have.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to watching Eureka, tomorrow my plans include going to a fun place with Nana and the rest of the fam (except Daddy Dearest) and Sunday, I want to relax!

So that's it... if you want to do your own Friday Fillins, find the link on my sidebar.

The Phantom of the Opera and my Gorgeous Gown

So here is a picture of me, the day before my birthday, in a beautiful dress right before I head off with Daddy and Dear Sister to see the Phantom of the Opera.

The show was fabulous, and the effects were amazing, the costumes extravagant, the acting realistic... It was a wonderful show, but I didn't like how they changed some lines in 'Think of Me' and other songs and how they would be singing in some places when they were supposed to be talking... They also tried to make it more of an 'operatic' style, and didn't have them sing it strait. There was way too much vibrato and some of the songs just weren't as pure, or sweet, or enchanting (and I almost mean literally enchanting... the music from this play is really amazing) as they were in the original with that style... it may be called 'The Phantom of the Opera', but I think it's better as a musical.

With that being said, it was a great show and I'm so glad I had a chance to see it!

Friday Fillins (for the third time in a row on Firday! Yeah!)!

1. I enjoy cooking.
2. When I will finish K.o.D. is something I wonder about often lately.

4. Take a lot of love, add a little tiny bit of playfully annoying the other, and loads of support and friendship and you end up with My and Dear Sister's sisterly relationship.
5. Life has gifted me with the most fabulous family ever.
6. Laying in my heavenly bed is an instant vacation.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to Daddy coming home for the weekend, tomorrow my plans include celebrating my Wonderful Brother1's 4th (IKES!) Birthday and Sunday, I want to have fun!!!

Almost there

Right now I am getting ready for The Phantom of the Opera. I already took a shower and put on some make-up, but I still need to curl my hair (tough luck with that... my hair never curls!) and Mommy needs to finish sewing the straps of my dress so that it will fit.

Anyway, I'm super duper excited and I will tell you all about it the moment I can!

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!

Tomorrow's the day! I get up, I get all 'prettied' up and Dear Sister, Fabulous Daddy and I head off to see this big stage musical that I have been wanting to see for over six months. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and now it's here. Tomorrow. Wow...

I can't believe it! And afterwards, it's time to head off and watch that movie that I made that's probably called "The Rose Of Gondor". I really, really, really am so, so, so excited... I'm all giddy and happy and wonderful feeling and I just can't wait. I just want to go to bed now so I can wake up and do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that's me for you. I've been waiting so, so long. And now I don't have to. It's going to be great.

I hope I can wait.

Friday Fillins #21

Yeah! Two weeks running! Hopefully I can do this on Friday again next week...

1. If I was to walk into your life, would you walk into mine(don't really know what this one is about...)?
2. Catch a bright star and place it in your hair, like a flower.
3. And you can send me anything that makes me smile.
4. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I caught Amnesia or something, but I'm dealing with a memory memories that never forget when you have such great memories.
5. I'm the innocent bystander / Somehow I got stuck with the greatest family in the world, I often wonder how I got so lucky.
6. What's keeping us apart isn't selfishness, how I'm going to fill this in I don't know.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight this morning I’m looking forwards to Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, tomorrow my plans include going to see a really great play then going to see that movie I made with Dear Sister and some friends, and Sunday, I want to CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, there you go! I hope you have a great weekend! I know I will!

Five and Sick

Five days until my Birthday and Mommy is doing pretty bad, I'm not-so-good, and Dear Sister is okay. I just want to be better again... my joint pain is bad enough, but it and this awful cold is just terrible. I've got four days to be ship-shape. Let's hope I recover.

Six and Sick

Well, as you probably know with all of my birthday posts, my birthday is in six days. I'm very very excited, but I almost wish that it wasn't because yesterday Brother1 & 2, Dear Sister, and myself caught a cold.

As you most likely know if you're a regular reader of my blog, my Clan has just recovered from a really bad case of food poisoning/stomach flew/something really bad that makes you throw-up and it's kind of upsetting to be caught up in a cold right after we get over it... Oh well. Life goes on. At least I still have five days to recover (yes, it's six days until my birthday but I'm going to see a really awesome Broadway-style musical on the 6th and then I'm going to see that Movie Dear Sister and I made with some friends so I want to be healthy by then).

Even though I was feeling sick this morning, I still had enough energy to make some pancakes. Unfortunately, after I mixed the dry ingredients it turned out that we didn't have any apple sauce! Mom said I should substitute it with pumpkin, and I did... It was a real pain trying to cook the pancakes as the batter starts to cook the moment it touches the pan (if it's made with pumpkin, that is) and it was so thick and goopy that it was virtually impossible to spread it around...
Still, by some miracle the pancakes turned out absolutely delicious--even better than the original!--and we ate them with strawberries and maple syrup (mixed with soy milk, cinnamon, and vanilla). Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... I just thought I'd post about this.

(another random something to post) Every time Dear Sister and I get sick, (at least sick in the sense where you can't talk without hurting your throat) I realise how close we are. We can just talk, without talking, and know what the other means just by looking at one another, and we can sign things, or just lip-sync... Even Mom or Dad can have troubles with what we're saying, but I can almost always get it, and she can as well. It's just really nice to know that you're bonded with someone like that. It makes me happy.

Anyway, I guess that's it!!! Wish me well!
