...spinning fast and freely...

I was going to drop off one of my Netflix videos in the mail box, singing the song I always do when I'm going to the mail box:

Two little princesses,
Dancing in a row,
Spinning fast and freely,
On their little toes,
Where the light take/find
(which one I say depends on my mood ) them,
No one ever knows/There's only one way to know, (again with the mood)
Two little princesses,
Dancing in a row,
Spinning fast and freely,
On their little toes,
Where the light will take them,
No one ever knows,
Two little princesses...(etc. etc.)

To end the song, you hold the last note (row...) and... er, make kind of mysterious sounding? Ominous? It's hard to describe. Anyway, I got that song from 'Tin Man'. (it's a mini series which is basically the Wizard of Oz--futuristic style. Instead of Oz, we've got the O.Z. (Outer Zone), instead of Dorothy Gale, we have D.G.... stuff like that. It was a good show, with a good theme, and was very interesting, though at times it went a little over the edge in morality... or, rather, violence? No, it was just the pain you see people in... it's hard to describe.)

Anyway, I was going to the mail box singing my little song. I put the D.V.D. into the mail, I turned around and starting walking home, then, I noticed my shadow. I started watching it. I had been walking for a while when turned my head, and my hair bounced in front of my shoulders and I saw little curl ups at the bottom of my some-what strait hair. I started shifting as I walked so I could see the curls bouncing around. It looked really pretty. And then I started spinning, using my ballet trick of spotting (keeping your head in one place as long as possible then whipping it around) so I could keep my eyes on my shadow. And then I stopped looking at my shadow, and was singing proudly and happily and was dancing across the street towards my house, spinning and spinning and skipping... somehow I got passed my joint pain for then, (I'd taken my Ibuprofen(sp?) and I'd been moving around for a while. That helps a little.) and continued up to my door, where I finished the song with one happy note and burst into my house, with a big grin. I felt really good.

I don't know why I'm posting about this, I just felt like it. It was a good experience.

Brother2's Birthday '08

Brother2's b-day was loads of fun! I had a grand time.

When I got up I played sims until the boy awoke. We showed him Dear Sister's Present (one gigantic cardboard box--from Daddy's work--a long with two smaller ones put together with doors, windows and furnishings. The little guy loved it! And I mean loved it!!! He would play peekaboo with the doors and windows, he would open and close the windows that could open and close and poke his adorable face out of the others, he would play around and go in and out of his 'bedroom' (a small box with a pillow floor coming out of the main one). It was adorable.

Then he took a nap.

When Daddy got home, Brother1 showed the my tiny 1-year-old the 'borthday' card he'd made for him. Brother2 loved that as well! He looked at the card and laughed his little baby laugh and chewed the card...

And then we brought out presents. We needed to show him what to do and help him here and there, but I think he got the idea. Halfway through opening the first he wanted to nurse. So he did, then he went on opening--only a different one! The one he opened first (not the one he started first, but the one he completed) was a little wagon-ish thing he could push around. He loved that. He got inside and wouldn't get out. It was sooooooooooo adorable!
Then he finished his other one, which was a plastic thing with boats and a lift to transport stuff. It's hard to describe. Brother2 found that interesting, but was more excited for the wagon-ish thing.

We played with the little guy, but eventually he tired. We watched some stuff on Netflix while he slept and then went to bed.

Today, when I asked Brother1 if he enjoyed Brother2's birthday, he said:
"I wish it would never END!"
I smiled. I almost had too.

P.S. Guess who's b-day is next in line in my clan? MINE!!! hehe.

Betcha can't guess what tomorrow is!

Well, can you?

No, that's not it.

How about now?

Come on! You can do better!

One more time...

YES! That's it! It's Brother2's Birthday!!! He's actually turning 1 YEAR OLD! I think I'm going to cry... Golly, my little baby brother is one year old. Okay, I'm not just saying this. I'm getting very teary eyed right now. To think I used to be able just to hold him in my arms... and now he's such a big boy. I really don't think I can take this.

And don't get me started on Brother1. I'll be inconsolable then.

FIVE THINGS That Make Me Smile

This is something I stole from a very good friend of mine--'Froggy'. (you write 'Five Things', it could be five things that drive you crazy, or five things that you love, or--in this case--five things that make you smile)

Five things that make me smile:-)
  1. My little brothers (when they aren't throwing fits!) :-)
  2. My obnoxious father (sometimes I pretend what he's saying doesn't make me laugh just because... er, I don't really know! But I would say 93% of his jokes I find humorous) ;-)
  3. The cards and other things that show affection from Dear Sister (those things also make me cry) :-)
  4. Mommy and her goofiness (she's so awesome!) :-)
  5. Whenever I think about my life, and all the wonderful things in it, I smile :-)

Well, I guess that makes five! I'll do this more Five Things when I can't think of anything else to post...

Thanks for inventing this, Froggy! I miss you! (her and her brother are on a vacation)

Friday Fill Ins #15

Will I ever do one of these on the right day again!? If you want to do Friday Fillins (preferably on Friday) look for the link on my side bar--you might even find other interesting links as well.

1. I believe whatever doesn't kill you may still be bad.
2. If you're good at something, and you love it, you should work on excelling it.
3. Why so silent, good messires?*1
4. Something is out there, it's just unknown and unproven--for now.*2
5. If my life were a sitcom, it would be titled The ????? (the question marks being my last name pluralized).
6. Sitting on my back porch I see imagine my children playing.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m yesterday I was looking forward to watching something, tomorrow today my plans include practicing a Dance I'm making with Dear Sister, and Sunday, I want to have loads of fun, perform the Dance and maybe have a picnic!

Well there's my Friday Fillins! Have a great weekend!

Vampires in the Doctors Office

I have been having some awful joint pain since about July 7th. I have to hobble around instead of walking, and even that hurts!
Anyway, we decided to go see my doctor and he came up with a couple ideas of what could be wrong... and he also said I needed to get my blood drawn.

So I go to the blood draining place and talk to the vampires there. Somehow I couldn't think of them as anything else, hehe. They were nice enough, but of course I had to wait 'a couple minutes' before I could have it drawn (for my first time, by the way). It has been my observation that everyone in the Doctor's office just loves making people wait and take every chance to do so.

So after a bit longer than a couple minutes of waiting I am sitting in this padded 'bench' with a deskish thing in front of me. My Vampire feels around my arm and starts trying to find my 'biggest one', I assumed she was talking about blood vessels. She then starts to clean the area she's about to draw my blood from with some alcohol. It felt really weird.

And then it's time. I looked at the pictures of sea turtles on my right as my Vampire sticks a needle in my 'biggest one'--I just didn't want to see her put it in, and was sure I'd chicken out if I did. I felt a sting as the needle entered me. I waited a bit before finally turning to see little needle going into my skin, and out of the needle came a long cord going into a huge vile with a bit of my blood... *shudder* The cord touched parts of my arm and I felt the heat of my blood through it... All the sudden I felt a little faint and woozy.
Then I ask:

"How much do you have to fill?" partly to know how much longer I must feel that stinging, which felt a bit like someone was pinching you with their nails, and partly to know how much more blood I was going to loose. If she filled that whole vile I was sure I was going to pass out.
"The whole thing."
(Galaxy's thoughts) Are you kidding me?!!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?
(what Galaxy actually says) "That's a lot!"
"It's three table spoons of blood," she said that with emphasis on the word blood. "It looks like a lot but it really isn't."

That's her talking.

I was glad Mommy was there.

Anyway, it was at last done and she pulled it out and placed a cotton ball where the needle went, then wrapped this purple bandagy thing around it. I still stung a little, and I was still a bit woozy, but somehow I stayed conscious. Finally, I get home and beg Mommy to make me a Cherry Carob smoothie (a.k.a. 'a Cherub'). I think she will, but I'm not certain.

So there's the story of how I got my first blood draining! Hope you enjoyed my post!

Another late Friday Fillins--#14

1. If I could be a fly on the wall I would not be around my house! (flies are my father's worst enemies and I wouldn't stand a chance!).
2. Jealousy is to be avoided, though sometimes it's hard.
3. When I see a shooting star my wish would be that my family and I would have a wonderful, long and happy life.
4. I'd rather be me than than anyone else any day!
5. Certain songs when I hear them make me wanna DANCE!
6. If time were in a bottle I would have the BEST history lessons EVER!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight yesterday I’m I was looking forwards to watching Bill Cosby, tomorrow today my plans include hopefully swimming, and Sunday, I want to have fun!

Lissi--the Sequel to the Sequel!

My character's name is 'Lissi', and she seems pretty cool. And unlike most of the characters, she isn't too solemn! (though she isn't really that playful, just more so than the rest. I guess that's why it's my part!) Anyway, rehearsal was loads of fun and I can't wait for the movie to be done!!!

The plot centers around the Daughters of E'owan (a.k.a. her great grandaughters!) their leader Faladrian, her daughter Vonrail, as well as the Lost Princess Miriel (though she is more commonly known as her adoptive name Anna) and a bit about myself as we fight the Regents who used to work for the King but then betrayed and murdered him and took over Gondor. The title our movie is still undecided.

Oh, and yesterday there was this beautiful cat out in the back. Mom let me stroke her. I decided to call her Lissi, but when I came to look for her today, she wasn't there... *sigh*. Dad's probably glad of that--he's allergic to cats and kinda wanted me to stay away. I'm a little sad, as I really liked her.

Well, that's it! I'll post later!

The Sequel to 'Butterfly'

Well, as for the Park Day thing I went to, I really didn't have much fun. My favorite parts must have been playing cards with Dear Sister and a Little Brother of a Friend of mine, and pushing little children on the tire swing. I really wish it would have been more fun, but I had to (and wanted to) stay in the sight of my Mom, and the only kids close to my age went way beyond that. I guess even if I had gone with them I wouldn't have had fun as they didn't seem to be doing much... Oh well.

Now today I might have some fun!!! Some friends of mine from ballet--as well as myself and Dear Sister--are making a movie! I don't know much about the plot yet, but I do know that it's going to be like a 'Lord of the Ring's thing (like a sequel or something...). Today should be our first meeting, so I'm really excited!
I'm going to play a maid/spy for the bad guys who turns to the good side and stops spying for the Villains. My name isn't decided yet.
Dear Sister is going to play multiple tiny characters. She's really excited about doing that, as she loves playing bunches of tiny rolls and being different characters--not only that, but she's really good!

So I'm very excited and have been looking forwards to this thing for quite some time! The meeting will be from 6:30-8:00.

Oh, and this is completely off topic, but I'm actually wearing the shirt I took my profile pic on! Silly, huh? ;-)

Butterfly

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo...

If you've been reading my blog, than you know that I love my family more than anything in the entire world. You might not know (as I'm not really sure if I posted anything about this) is that I thrive on social interactions, meeting knew people, going to fun places and making friends. Right now, since I still am not going to ballet, I haven't been out of the house much, and though I am enjoying many aspects of that, half of me is screaming to get out and do something. SCREAMING. Mommy calls me a 'Social Butterfly'. Kinda funny, since Dear Sister thinks my symbol should be a butterfly.

Anyway, today I should be going to a homeschooler's park day (the summer form of Gym Day) and I'm very excited! I just hope Dear Brother1 will behave himself! I also hope this new friend I met a while ago will be there. That'd really make my day.

So Farewell from your Social Butterfly!

Mango Feast and Possible Pool

So we just went to Costco and got a bunch of ripe Mangoes. (those are like impossible to find!) We came home, put the groceries away, washed our hands... and then ate the mangoes... and boy were they good! I really enjoyed them! Dear Sister is peeling another right now, so I don't have much time to finish this post before I need to run over and feast some more ;-).

On a different subject, I'm probably going to go swimming in our pool (which we set up yesterday) with all my sibs except Brother2 (he doesn't really like cold water). I'm looking forwards to it, though it would be more fun if my Parents could join me. (Mom can't leave Dear Brother and Daddy is busy working)

Anyway, it looks like Rose is almost done and I still have to edit this post so bye! :-)

What's worse than bees? Wasps!

Okay, so Mom and Dad decided to start setting up our pool. We probably won't be able to swim in it until either late Sunday or sometime Monday simply because it takes FOREVER for it to fill, but I'm still excited.

So they were clearing out the patio in our back yard, when they found an ACTIVE WASPS NEST on one of the fence posts!!!!!!!!!! (*scream*)

We have this special vacuum cleaner called a 'Shop Vac', and Daddy decided to Vacuum them up. The rest of my Clan evacuated into the house and watched through our glass door as he battled the wasps. He actually escaped un-stinged, thank goodness!

One problem: we now have an entire wasps nest (not just the wasps, but the actual nest as well) in one of our vacuum cleaners. We're still trying to figure out what do, hehehe.

Galaxy

INTERESTING GALAXY FACT: She has never been stung by a bee, or by wasp. Neither has she broken any bones, though she has had more than her fair share of muscle polls! (the Ballerina's price)

Friday Fill Ins #13

It's time for Friday Fill Ins! Yeah!!!

1. Oh, I can't wait until I have a good book!
2. Watermelon--if we have any open--is the first thing I see when I open my refrigerator.
3. I never leave home without I'd say my shoes, but twice I actually did do that, so I guess I can't. My glasses then!... no, I did that too... I guess I never leave home without myself, hehe!
4. If I were a condiment, I would be honey mustard, maybe? because... really, this is one that needs a lot of thought. I'll tell you later.
5. Mispronouncing my name (my real one) is really high up on my list of pet peeves.
6. The last thing I thought of before I went to bed was Jason and the Argonauts.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to finishing Jason and the Argonauts and drinking a smoothie, tomorrow my plans include not watching Doctor Who (WHY?!?!?!?!) and Sunday, I want to go on a picnic! Gotcha by surprise, didn't I?!

A thing that annoys me...

I hate it when a movie, or a book or story or anything doesn't have a complete ending! It's really annoying.
What I mean is that I hate it when you're still asking questions after the movie is over, even though they are all answered... when you feel like there should be more to it. It just feels unsatisfying, and I like to be satisfied when it comes to stories. I don't like endings that don't answer all the questions either, but the ones with unsatisfying answers really get me... Remember that! If you have a story, make sure that the ending is COMPLETE!

5. My favorite book so far this summer is Siren Song(?).
6. I am still experimenting, but right now I think a yummy breakfast is the best way to begin a day.

Stuff

I really really want to do something awesome, special, or just plain cool. So far, I have no clue what. I want to draw something beautiful, write something great, or work on that 'Sugar and Tea' skit with Dear Sister... I don't know. I just wish I knew!!!

On another matter, two of my best friends just left on a vacation and won't be back until August. It's awful! Still, I wish them nothing but the best and if I can't play with them, they had better be having a fantastic time!

Well... I guess that's all I have to say! Bye!
